legion fc: the beginning

Hello,

We are Legion FC, an amateur soccer club competing in the AMSA Sunday League in Austin, Texas.

Our club started as nothing more than a dream. Our first appearance was at a local 3v3 tournament, where we exceeded expectations by reaching the semifinals. Inspired by that experience, we slowly began recruiting players and building a foundation that would allow us to compete in larger competitions.

Our next step was the Icarus Cup, a 7v7 tournament. While the results did not always go our way, those early challenges helped shape our identity and strengthen our commitment to the project. Through hard work and persistence, we continued to grow and eventually recruited enough players to form an 11v11 team.

It was at this stage that AMSA became an important part of our journey. From the very beginning, AMSA believed in our project and gave us the opportunity to compete and develop as a club.

Our first AMSA Sunday League season took place in the summer of 2025, where we finished in 3rd place. Motivated by that success, we committed to competing in the Fall and Spring AMSA seasons. During the Fall season, we entered the winter break in 1st place. When the Spring season concluded, we finished 2nd overall and earned promotion to the next division.

Along the way, we also competed in several Bat City tournaments, where we were crowned champions on two occasions.

Our success has not come without adversity. In fact, it took nearly four months for the club to earn its first victory. Those difficult moments taught us resilience, patience, and the importance of believing in a long-term vision.

Although our story is still being written, it is already filled with examples of growth, determination, and achievement. What began as a small group of players with a dream has evolved into a competitive and ambitious club with a clear vision for the future.

Today, our goal is simple: continue growing, continue inspiring our community, and establish Legion FC as one of the premier amateur soccer clubs in Austin.
